Time for a new post....probably?

It has been a week or two since the last blog update so I decided it was probably time for a new one since we have entered into the month of July. This one may seem like I am rambling but get over it, because I don't really know what to write about so I'm just gonna write....and see where it goes, yes? You know those free writing assignment you always had to do in High School? Where they tell you to just write without stopping for 5 minutes and let your thoughts flow, I think this was to get our brains going, I really don't know, but it will be akin to that.

Lately, I have spotted many EFY kids on campus. They are not hard to pick out. They come equipped with trendy new jeans, hollister t-shirts, perfectly coifed hair (even at 7:30 in the morning), an EFY lanyard, and of course they travel in packs. The boys escorting the girls arm in arm. This comes as a relief that they actually get to touch each other this year. Last year they escorted one another by holding the lanyard (swine-flu and everything). The following is an example of an actual conversation I heard in the girls bathroom: "Oh my GOSH! My hair looks horrible today!" "No it doesn't, I would kill to have your blonde hair." "It looks like I just got out of bed." "Oh my gosh! It does not, it looks so cute! Don't you know that all guys like girls with blonde hair better?" "Really it looks so cute!" "Ok, we look good!" Followed by giggles and a high-five. (Say that in a valley-girl voice, and you got it down). I really hope that I was not like this when I was 16 years old, sadly I totally remember having conversations like this....so sad.

I am starting to actually enjoy skirts and dresses. Growing up I hated everything frilly, especially bows and dresses. My sister was all about the girly things, but not me. In fact I used to refer to high heels as big-girl shoes. Sadly this was only about 2 years ago. So this is a major accomplishment for me, you should be proud. I am not allowed to wear jeans and casual clothing to work. So I have taken to wearing skirts or dresses a lot since it is now hot outside. That is correct, I wear these things on days other than Sunday, for longer than 3 hours, and I like it. My mom is so proud of me.

I have started doing lots of things with this one cute boy. I have gone to school with him since 6th grade, but he was always far too cool for me all growing up. You know the type, but he is no longer that punk kid haha. His name is McKay and a picture is enclosed. Basically we go on adventures a lot. Here is a list of some of the things we have done: real rock climbing (as opposed to fake rock climbing), tennis, movies, stadium of fire, board games, making cupcakes, swimming, stripping wallpaper, golfing, etc. Mostly he is incredible and I love being around him, so I think I am going to keep him around for a while.
