Hip hoppin'

If you don't know how to dance...you should probably watch this video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Ridiculous? oh yes. Do I love it? Very much.

My days lately have consisted of sleeping, school, work, combine the last two, and you get school work, then I go to sleep, that is all. Usually when people say this I assume they are exaggerating. I assume you are thinking the same thing about me, but alas I am not. It is true! I am really not exaggerating because it is closing in on finals week and I have been bombarded with papers, tests, projects, and midterms, yes MIDTERMS during the last week of school. Who does that? Also, I have almost completed my last Fall semester ever...weird.

In other news, every time that winter comes around there are a few things that will inevitably happen to me.

1. I will slip and fall, on ice. (I have to clarify that it is on ice because I have been known to slip and fall on perfectly normal services) My count thus far is only once, but winter is just beginning.

2. I will slip and not fall. This occurs as I meet a patch of ice and try and save myself from falling. Flailing arms, crazy legs, high pitched shriek included. I save myself, glorying in my victory, only to find people staring at me and then I think it would have been better to fall instead of that production I just put on.

3. I will walk under trees, their branches heavy with snow, and it will fall and pelt me in the face. This usually happens as I am walking past a cute boy, perhaps my potential soul mate, goodness gracious.

4. My mom will call me as it is blizzarding outside, and ask me how I am doing and if I feel like a pioneer trudging through the snow to class. Thanks mom :)

5. I will wear snowboots, sweats tucked into the snowboots, a peacoat, and a snow hat to class, simply because I can. I know, I'm pretty classy.

This post was a little scattered, but that's alright. Enjoy!

So Close

One of my random goals in life is to use a chapstick to its completion. This is an unbelievably hard task! And I have only been able to completely use maybe...4 of them. All throughout my life I have been bombarded with different chapsticks from Lip Smackers to Carmex, but my go to lip balm has to be Burt's Bees or maybe Natural Ice (it's cheaper). But without fail I will LOSE these precious gems of moisture before they reach their end.

Yesterday was a long day. I was sitting in my last class of the day, Multicultural Education, when I thought to myself "My lips are parched!" So I reach into my backpack and get out my Burt's. But my hand has a spasm of sorts and it slips from my fingers. This resulted in a semi-loud noise as it smacked the table/desk, and rolled to the floor. No problem right? Just pick it up and you are fine. Right? WRONG people! I can't find it anywhere as I twirl around in my chair searching the ground for the golden case. So I resolve to find it after class instead of crawling on the floor, under desks, scouring every inch of the classroom. But alas! I forget to pick it up at the end of class. It is a 2 hour long class on Monday evenings, I book it out of there like none other.

This morning as I sat at work, my lips were again in need of some chapstick. I reach into my backpack and remember that I have no chapstick! The saddest part of the story is, I was almost done with said, lost, chapstick. It only had about a centimeter left to go. I was soooo close! SO CLOSE! Anywho now I am in need of some lip balm.

Future time

Well, it is official I have signed up for my last semester of school...before I graduate....before I have to have a real job/career...am I crazy excited...YES! So for those of you who do not know, I am planning on being a Health and PE teacher in a middle school or high school. Hopefully I will mostly be teaching health because that is what I really love, but PE is cool too, and I am glad it was my minor.

But this last week for my technology in the classroom class I had to make a movie. I at first was dreading this assignment because this whole editing movie stuff is brand new to me. But I think it turned out pretty sweet, and it is on YouTube and everything...so it's legit :) Feel free to watch. It is supposed to be a commercial like the above the influence commercials and is about underage drinking. Take a gander, I am pretty proud of it, even tho it really is nothing special, but the sense of accomplishment is definitely there.

Harry Potter, Hermione, and Ron

That's right people it is that time of year again....Harry Potter is coming to town! Now in this post I will probably disgrace myself with my nerdiness of how much I love Harry Potter, but it is true, I really cannot wait for it to come to theaters in (count it!) one month!

If you are not familiar with Harry Potter, shame on you! If you believe that Harry Potter is an evil/devil book that children read, you are ridiculous, sorry but it's true, so stop that. Now on to the geeky part of me being an avid fan of this movie franchise. Ya, ya, ya they may be milking it for all its worth by making the last installment 2 parts, but they caught me hook, line, and sinker, I do not even care.

So let the nerdiness begin!

1. I have read all 7 books....multiple times
2. I own all the movies and enjoy watching them
3. I am more then willing to tell you everything about Harry and his friends if you have questions
4. I wish Quidditch were a real sport
5. I cried, when Dumbledore, Dobby, and Snape died. If you do not know who these characters are see #3. Also I may have spoiled something if you have not read the books...sorry.
6. I got chills watching the trailer for the movie. Click HERE, watch it, and love it
7. I put myself on an email notification list (fandango style) to know when tickets first became available
8. I bought said tickets, today, about an hour after receiving the email
10. I want to dress up for the midnight showing (12:10 a.m. I will be there!)
11. I really want to go to Harry Potter land in Florida and drink butterbeer everyday.

So there you have it. I will be one of those people at the midnight showing. Come, if you so wish.

One Month In...

One month into school already! I have not posted anything in a while on here, and that is mostly because, well, I've been busy. Plus I have a whole other blog I have to keep for my technology class, which is great fun, and should definitely be worth more than one measly credit.

I have mostly been enjoying work, school, friends, and family. There have been many paddle ball tournaments played and so far me and Anders are the dominant force. I mean just look at us, we're legit!

Also this past week for my technology class (previously mentioned) I made a website. Yes a website! Who knew I was so computer savvy? Anywho in reference to this class being only one credit, this assignment alone took me around 9 hours..... yikes! But I am super proud of it! So you should probably check it out. I had to make two classes that I could teach in the future so just go explore and see for yourself:

I am loving my classes and so excited that this is my last year of "real" school. Next year I will be student teaching/internshipping at a middle school or high school. Will I be mistaken for a student there? Most likely. Bring it on.

In other news my best friend Rachael Andersen is getting married this Friday, love it! Also I am one of her bridesmaids...expect pictures :)
